The Greenolia company emerged from the love of two people for the cultivation of the family’s olive groves using methods of organic farming and packaging of premium quality extra virgin olive oil with rigorous control over all stages of production.
Overlooking the Maliakos gulf in Stylida, within the region of Phthiotis, the company is guided by the idea to develop a “green” entrepreneurship – hence the name of the company – environmentally and socially friendly but also fair in terms of trade rules. A team of partners sharing the same values has been set up to apply all good practices of integrated management and organic farming.
The olive harvest follows the hand-picking method when the fruit is still unripe. After careful selection the fruit is transported to the oil mill where the oil extraction takes place following the cold pressed method. The organic extra virgin olive oil is stored in stainless steel tanks with the use of nitrogen. The packaging takes place in a certified location which meets the requirements of hygiene and bottling.
The varieties cultivated for the production of Greenolia Organic EVOO are Amfissis and Koroneiki.
