The extra virgin olive oil of Ktima Krimnianioti company is used in cooking as well as raw, in salads, sauces, etc. It is a pure olive oil that has not been industrially processed. It has an acidity of less than 0.4%, it has a mild taste. Its color and density depend on the olive variety.
Single variety olive oil, from 100% Koroneiki olives, with origin depending on the year, mountainous Laconia or mountainous Sitia. The fruit is harvested by hand and the olive oil is produced by cold pressing. The microclimate of each region, combined with the dry, rocky soil result in an olive oil with very low acidity, well balanced, spicy and intensely fruity, with elegant vegetable aromas reminiscent of freshly cut grass. It is a balanced extra virgin olive oil for cooking, cold and hot cooking.
Every year we test olive oil from Crete and the Peloponnese and choose to standardize the olive oil from one of the two regions with the best organoleptic profile. A basic principle of our philosophy, to which we remain faithful, is to standardize the extra virgin olive oil of the new harvest only. We do not mix olive oils from different harvests, regions or varieties.
