The history of ouzo MINI Mytilene begins around 1800, when in the narrow alleys of the city – where all the small taverns and cafes were located – the tavern owners made the first attempts to distill in copper pots anise, the plant they found in the ground of Lesvos, in an alcohol solution. In these streets, where the air smelled of aromatic herbs, the history of ouzo MINI Mytilene was initialed.
