FoodsCross honey is distinguished for its amber color and a pleasant taste with spicy afternotes thanks to its high fructose concentration.Due to its toning and antiseptic properties, this honey helps prevent cardiovascular disease and
acts beneficially on conditions of the urinary, respiratory and digestive systems. It contains a series of amino acids (proline, phenylalanine, tyrosine, valine) minerals and vitamins (C, B6, riboflavin, pantothenic acid, calcium, phosphorus, magnesium, sodium, potassium, iron, zinc) and is particularly rich in metals like copper and iron.
In Greece, apiculture does not involve the intense exploitation of bees and organised monocultures of mass produced, low cost & low quality honey.
Greek apiculture in protected Natura 2000 regions allows bees to feed exclusively on pure pollen, far away from chemicals, pesticides & industrial zones.
Due to the dry climate of Greece, honey has low water content and therefore it is slightly processed.
This has as a result a more aromatic, more dense and richer in flavours and ingredients honey.
